This microwave cover is great for heating things up in the microwave. It keeps the microwave from getting dirty and also prevents things from getting overcooked. I don't know how I lived without it for so long.

We purchased the 11" Nordic Ware Microwave Plate Cover and love it. It works perfectly. We get a plate put our leftovers or something we want to heat up in the microwave, put the cover on it, put it in the microwave and press the re-heat button and wow, the food is heated perfectly throughout with no mess in the microwave. We recommend this microwave plate cover to everyone, if you have a microwave this is a must have. It is made exceptionally well. We love it.

I'm buying my fourth Nordic Ware microwave plate cover in the last 8 years. I like the way this cover fits over plates and containers, and we use it all the time. It's large enough and tall enough to cover most dishes. It's easy to clean, either by hand or in the dishwasher, and it keeps our microwave really clean. It doesn't have a greasy feel to it like some plasticware after use.
I like that it is rigid, and doesn't get hot. It is nearly transparent so I can see the food through it. It looks OK so I can keep it right on top of the microwave and don't have to hide it away in a cupboard.
I'm buying a replacement because the previous one has been cracked for so long that it's become floppy. Every one of these which I've owned has cracked within the first year, from the center hole out to the edge. However, this does not impair its effectiveness, and it doesn't fall apart. I had no expectations that this thing would last forever, and I just look at it as a disposable item. It works well enough and I haven't found any that work better, so I keep coming back.
I would caution cooks to keep it clean, as I once had a Nordic Ware cover apparently accumulate some food in a crack, strawberry sauce I think, and the cover started burning in the microwave. There was a nice long melted area from the center to the edge following a crack. And some pretty excited folks running around the kitchen.
Overall, does its job well, it's inexpensive, but I wish they would improve the materials.
