I should have read more carefully, this is a 10 not 12 inch mat. But what is poor about it is that the manufacturer stuffed it into a box so small that it took a set and now is permanently wrinkly and lumpy. I think it's unlikely ever to flatten out since silicone seems never to change shape, (which means that the manufacturer stuffed it into its box even before it was fully cured). Very cheesy. Considering what I've owned and what I've read, I will be staying away from Kitchenaid.

Kitchen Aid microwave mat is great. Slightly raised edge keeps it flat. Much better than Progressive mat, heavier and does not lift around the edges.
