I bought a young chihuahua and thought that this would make her feel more secure in her crate at night since she would be away from her mom and siblings. I would warm it in the microwave for 30 seconds each night like suggested and it does stay warm for at least 30 minutes (I've never checked it past that time). I can't tell you why my pup is so attached to this thing but she carries it around ALL THE TIME, even when not warmed. She hasn't managed to chew a hole in it as of yet, but you have to take into consideration that she's a very small dog. :) I don't think it would hold up to the jaws of our lab/shepherd mix for very long! ;)

Intended to buy the slightly small Asvel box, but this one does hold a lot of food, and is very well constructed. The seal in the lid and the steam vent are both able to keep liquidy foods in while to box is tipped up on it's side or end for travel. The plastics are easy to clean and hold up well to microwaving. Be gentle with the latches, although these are sturdier than most bento boxes, too much rough snapping can break the little plastic pins that hold the snap-latches together.

This box is just fantastic for my lunch. I prepare bentos for my kids and I originally bought this for them. It turns out it's a bit too large for them but it's perfect for me! It wears well in the microwave as long as you vent the lid by unsnapping it and just resting it on top. The little divider is a great bonus. I can place two different foods in the container and not have them mix together. Love it!
